Requirements for attending a Medical School in Romania

Oradea University, also known as Facultatea De Medicina Universitatea Din Oradea, accepts students of all nationalities, races, sex and colour. We believe that the education of Medical Doctors should not depend on a students academic abilities at high school, but rather on their determination and passion for studying medicine and being of service to their fellow man.

Medical School Application for Transfer Students

Oradea University accepts transfer students from recognised medical faculties. Every year we receive numerous transfer students from carribean medical faculties, eastern european medical universities and from China. Transfer students must provide all proper documentation and be prepared to sit for make up or difference exams.

General Procedure for transfer students

Transfer students must first compare their credits to the Oradea University medical course program. Any subjects outstanding will need to be completed in the form of difference exams. The difference exams can be taken any time during the current academic year and cost $360 per exam.

European Medical Schools: Application Procedure

Applications for a seat at Oradea University needs to be done directly with The Romanian Ministry of Education or via Medical Student Advisors. Oradea University does not accept applications directly. Applications need to be submitted to the Ministry 6-8 months prior to the academic year in order to ensure a possibility of getting a seat. If you would like to stand a better chance of getting accepted and reserving a seat, may we recommend using Medical Student Advisors (MSA) placement service who work with International Recognised Medical Schools. We also suggest initial registrations with MSA to be confirmed by mid-July to end-August, by which time most available seats are taken.
