All new students entering Oradea are welcomed to attend an orientation session held by the Dean, pro-dean, administrative staff and departments chairmen.

The postgraduate training involves 3month rotations, at the end of which the student is evaluated by the professor or panel. In some specialties the Professors speak english and will help students with language. An english speaking panel can also be arranged for assessments and evaluations.

The qualification is highly recognized and graduates write the same state licensing exams as the Romanian language Department. The Oradea International Medical University is non-profit and is owned by the state.

Oradea University is recognised Internationally by numerous Schools, associations and medical boards. Graduates may sit for the USMLE (American Board Exams) and the PLEB (UK board exams). American students are advised to check with their state medical board. Although Oradea University is recognised and listed with the WHO and ECFMG, some states may have their own legislature. Medical School Program

The graduate medical school program leading to licensure as a medical doctor (MD), takes 6 years to complete and tuition is offered in English language to foreigners. There are various optional subjects at the value of 1 subject credit. Students transfering from other universities are required to do make up exams for subject credits that were not offered in their previous faculty.
