Academic professor Dr. Mircea Ifrim, member if the Romanian Academy of Medical Science, honorary member commander of the Academy of Science and Culture in Sao-Paulo, Brazil, dean-founder of the Medical Faculty in Oradea , Romania, vice-rector of the "Vasile Goldis" University in Arad, Romania, is already known at an international scale, both for his publishing activity as for the scientific and administrative activity in the medical, education for medical doctors and academic fields.

Dr. Mircea Ifrim is the author of important medical monographs, from which we mention: the "Human Body Anatomy Atlas", three books containing in 1,675 pages more than 1,400 pictures on the human body, and their detailed description, presented with "Victor Babes" Award, the "Anthropology" (821 pages, 502 sketches), the "Connective Tissue Morphology and Pathology (experimental and clinical study)" (428 pages, 411 pictures), the " Physical Education and Sports Anatomy and Bio mechanics" (821 pages, 420 pictures). The main research aims are: connective tissues morphology and pathology, congenital malformations and anthropological examination.

Dr. Mircea Ifrim, is also a prominent board member of the International Organization for Assessment of Quality in High Education and overseas medical schools, Hong-Kong and vice-president of the International Conference for Education, Geneva, Switzerland. In Romania, as well as abroad, education is a continuous and an important field in his activity.

The published "Atlas of the Anatomy (viscera)" in a CD form lays stress on the Author's efforts to present equally to the specialists and to the wider public a great amount of medical information, at a high quality and in a friendly-user environment for overseas medical school students.
